Im not very experienced at GFX but I think GIMP is the best.

Anyone who said GIMP has no idea what they're talking about.

Photoshop CS4 has proved itself to be the champion of graphic designing, photo retouching, photo manipulation etc.

However, if you are on a budget, GIMP offers a large spectrum of tools and effects, with a price of nothing.

I have both GIMP and Photoshop however I rarely use photoshop. The reason being is that I have used Gimp for much longer and I can make GFX better with GIMP since I have more experience.

But Photoshop probably is better.

They're all really cool, but I like Photoshop the best. I made my avatar with Paint.NET though.
